I have been bad about posting to my blog, but I'm going to try and get back into it! Today is October 30th; only one more day until the 31st and the last day of October! It's hard to believe this year is almost over and it's time to start thinking about Christmas presents. I love Christmas and love making Christmas lists, buying presents, and wrapping presents for family and friends, but it's stressful too! What to get for everyone, how much money to spend, who is going on my list, and on & on! Not to mention Christmas cards! I love mailing out Christmas cards, but it certainly takes a long time to get them all done!
This year I'm thinking about a Crafty Christmas, that way I can give something to my sisters, cousins, etc. without spending very much! But....the more I look on the internet for ideas of things to make, and the more pins I add to my craft board on PInterest, the more confused I get!
(PInterest is another topic for another post because it is a great site that I'm totally addicted to!!)
There are so many cute and awesome blogs out there with so many neat craft ideas that it's hard to choose one or two things to concentrate on making.
Now I have discovered a new craft that I would love to try called Felt Applique. Oh my goodness, such pretty, pretty things!
GO TO: http://beedeebabee.blogspot.com to view the following creations and many, many more!
or these
Aren't those just the cutest? Now I need to learn how to do it! I am thinking it is either a lot easier than it looks or a lot harder than it looks!
I have been searching on-line for a place that offers classes on this craft. So far I have found a class in Maryland, Washington and Indiana....but nothing in Phoenix Arizona.
I have found on-line classes, but I'm not sure I could do that! I mean who would I yell out to when I didn't understand something? I could yell at the computer, but it just wouldn't answer me!
So....if anyone knows of a place in Arizona, hopefully Phoenix Arizona, that teaches this craft, please give them my number, my email, something!
So that's first on my list of things to learn how to do!
Then I'm thinking about......Christmas presents for the kids!
I am truly blessed this year to have three granddaughters! Last Christmas there was just one, one special little girl named Alliyah!
Now in the course of just one year, the Lord has blessed me with two more special little girls! Gabriella was born in January and little Alice was just born in August.
I can't forget to mention that I have 4 nieces, one nephew and then my cousin's children (who are like nieces and nephews) 3 girls and 3 boys which includes one baby boy who was just born last week!
Then my close friend's grandchildren that include 3 more boys and another girl....Yes, I have a lot of children on my Christmas list!
I usually write a Christmas story for the children and put it together with stickers and drawings...like a little homemade book! I must come up with an idea for this year's Christmas story.
I have been searching on-line for toys and clothes and stuffed animals, and, and, and other things!
There are so many awesome shopping web-sites that offer baby and children's things! One store I just discovered is called "Bunnies by the Bay", and everything is just beautiful: http://bunniesbythebay.com
Here is a sample of the baby clothes:
And the stuffed animals:

See what I mean! Everything is so lovely and this is just from ONE on-line store! Believe me, I have looked at many more!
So.....I haven't got the first Christmas present, haven't made one list, haven't ordered one thing and I'm already confused!!!
Oh it will get better when I can start adding things to my list and marking things off my list!
I think the first thing that needs to go on my list is a new sewing machine for myself! How am I going to accomplish all of these crafty things that require a sewing machine if I don't have one? Yes, I think that is what I need to do today; go find myself a sewing machine!!
And so I will end this post!! I have just put something on my Christmas list and I must go find one....a sewing machine!!
Adios for now!! Have a wonderful Sunday!!
p.s.
I have just read back over this post and think I need to mention....it sounds like I am so up-beat about Christmas this year and truly I am trying to stay positive and up-beat about it. But........this is going to be the hardest Christmas ever for me because it will be the first Christmas without my mother. Just this morning I reached for the phone to call her before remembering she wasn't there. So I talk out-loud to her...and I'm sure if anyone was here they would think I had already lost my mind! I miss her so much it's like an ache that just won't go away. But life goes on....the circle of life....and the children need Christmas presents!! So I just have to remember my momma is looking down from Heaven and saying: "Keep Smiling and get those Christmas presents purchased and wrapped!!"
